The doula elective teaches students everything they need to know to become effective in the support of women before, during, and after labor. Some of the skills you will learn include the use of herbs, massage, basic and advanced comfort measures, and much more. In addition, all those who complete the course can then transition to become certified doulas that can practice both in the developing world and in home birth, birth center, and hospital birth settings across the United States and Canada.
We offer several different training sites for this course as well as an online module. The cost for each course is $200. Upon completion of the course you will be given information about obtaining your domestic or international certification. See below for upcoming training dates as well as registration links!
