The Modules of Midwifery(MOM) course in Homer, Alaska will be held June 6- November 18, 2016 and will be hosted by the Youth With A Mission Alaska base. Due to the base size in Homer, we are only able to accept ten students for this particular course.
The cost of the course is $4,000 plus a $500 deposit. This $500 deposit is non-refundabable and due at the time of application and includes your basic, required supplies. These supplies include: books, materials, basic midwifery supplies (including: stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, doppler, fetoscope, prenatal bag and much, much more). The total course price does not include the application fee, food and housing or transportation.
Each module can be paid separately for a total of four payments, but must be paid prior to the beginning of each module.
Tuition fees may also be paid in four installations, each payment being due prior to the start of the next module.

$1,000 Module 1 Payment due by June 5, 2016
$1,000 Module 2 Payment due by July 18, 2016
$1,000 Module 3 Payment due by September 4, 2016
$1,000 Module 4 Payment due by October 17, 2016
Housing, Food and Transportation
Student housing will be apartment-style, located one minute (walk) from the classroom & dining area where we will be meeting. The cost for food, housing and all campus fees totals $750.00 per month. These fees can be paid monthly, but must be paid one month ahead. Fees may also be prepaid quarterly or for your entire length of stay.
Homer is a small town and much of the necessary travel around town can be navigated on foot very easily (especially in the summer) or by bicycle. You are welcome to drive or ship your vehicle up if you'd like though!
